SALKANTAY

The Salkantay road represents for the traveler a magnificent connection with the mountainous landscape and the snowy surroundings that surround the natural environment like the Tucarguay, the Humantay that form part of the circuit of the snow-covered Salkantay (6264m), which from time to time have represented as Gods On land for our ancestors the Incas, nowadays in these circuits of snowy can be realized trekking that connects to other historical and natural locations such as Machupicchu or Choquequirao, these activities make reference to the uses that the old settlers gave to these locations to us with The purpose of communicating to the towns of the Vilcanota mountain range with other localities of the old Cusco.


FIRST DAY.
CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAIPAMPA – SALKANTAY PAMPA 

We will take a transport bus from Cusco to the town of Mollepata, we travel a short time the community of Marcoccasa, in this place we can observe the most impressive valleys, mountainous landscapes and the most excellent snowy of this circuit of the Inca period, you will find important snowfalls as The Humantay (5217 meters) and the Salkantay (6264 meters). Where will be our first camp.

SECOND DAY.
SALKANTAY PAMPA, STEP OF SALKANTAY, LUCMABAMBA 

The next day the sunrise will be spectacular, but that same day we will cross the most difficult part of our path, we will also ascend to the highest point that will be the Salkantay (4600m), hours after having walked up the pace we will start descending towards Lucmabamba (2000metros ), In this route we will pass through the hot springs of Collpapampa, it is optional if you wish to enter, then we will take a transport to Lucmabamba that lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, in this route we can feel the change from cold weather to hot weather, we will pass From the puna to the jungle eyebrow, here we will find fruits and a pleasant landscape that will make us spend good time. In Lucmabamba we will have our second night in a family home.

We will have Breakfast – Lunch and Dinner.

THIRD DAY.
LUCMABAMBA – LLACTAPATA CAMINO INCA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

Early on the third day we will begin the trekking along the historic Inca Trail to the archaeological site of Llactapata (2650m). In this path we will be able to appreciate the magnificent vegetation that surrounds the place and the culture that we inherited from the Incas, from Llactapata we will be able to appreciate for the first time the majestic Wonder of Machupicchu, the hill of the Huaynapicchu and the canyon of the Vilcanota. After traveling this way we will descend towards Hidroeléctrica, in this place we will take a break so a few minutes later we board the train that will take us to the town of hot waters (2050m), where we will spend the last night accommodated in a beautiful hotel.

FOURTH DAY.
AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO. 

Early in the morning after having an energetic breakfast we will leave from our Hotel towards the historical sanctuary of Machupicchu (2400m) in a tourist bus accompanied by a professional guide, we will arrive at the entrance of Machupicchu at approximately 6:30 am, from This point we will start our tour of the town of Machupicchu, our guide will explain all the history, culture, traditions, knowledge and customs of our ancestors the Incas, after an excellent walk, the guide will give you a time to Can enjoy Machupicchu and Huaynapicchu, and you can take pictures and feel the awesome energy surrounding the landscape of Machupicchu. After this time we will descend in a tourist bus to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to the imperial city of Cusco. Before boarding the train, you will have the choice to visit the hot springs and also to have lunch in a restaurant. Village of Aguas Calientes.
